7th grader on Friday:
(Her) "I'm not really a people person."
(Me) "You're talking to me..."
(Her: matter of factly) "But you're life is almost over; you're an adult. Mine's just started; I'm a preteen."
Same girl:
(Her) "What's your husband's name?"
(Me) "Mr Duncan."
(Her) "What's his first name?"
(Me) "Todd."
(Her) "Todd Duncan......that sounds like a cereal box."
(I think she must have been thinking of Duncan Hines)
Needless to say....it was an interesting conversation...
